🌟 Lemonade & Cookie Stand Review – 1st Grade Edition! 🍋🍪
Today’s refreshment break was brought to us by the cutest team of entrepreneurs in town — our brilliant 1st graders! With big smiles and even bigger hearts, they served up ice-cold lemonade and freshly baked cookies that were just as sweet as they are.
✨ The Highlights:
The lemonade was the perfect mix of tangy and sweet — clearly made with lots of love (and maybe a little help from grown-ups).
The cookies? Soft, chewy, and absolutely delicious. We’re still dreaming about those chocolate chips!
Service was top-notch — each customer got a cheerful greeting, a careful pour, and a cookie hand-picked with care.
💛 The best part? Watching our young students learn teamwork, money skills, and the joy of sharing something they’ve made. This wasn’t just a stand — it was a full-on heartwarming experience.
We give it 5 out of 5 stars — and we’re already in line for the next one!
Thank you Mrs. Friedmann's 1st Grade!!

The Mock Accident at Heritage High School was a powerful reminder of the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. We are grateful to the Broadlands, Homer, and Longview Fire Departments, Carle Arrow Ambulance, Champaign County Sheriff's Office, School Resource Officer Alex James, Carle Airlift, and the Illinois State Police Troop 7 for making this demonstration possible.
Thank you to our students: Kashton, Madi, and Gabe for participating with such maturity and helping deliver this important message ahead of prom weekend.
Let’s all make safe, responsible choices.

This morning, Heritage High School students will take part in a Mock Accident Simulation designed to reinforce the importance of safe and responsible decision-making, especially as we head into Prom weekend.
The simulation is a powerful, realistic learning experience meant to highlight the dangers of impaired and distracted driving. We appreciate your support in continuing these important conversations at home.
